Alright you guys, I know today is usually DIY Saturdays but I have to make an exception to let you know about all things when it comes to St. Louis Fashion Week! I love fashion week for the simple fact that I am surrounded by other people who love what I love, FASHION! And this year is going to be bigger and better than ever. Fashion week officially starts next week on September 26th with FABRIC (St. Louis Fashion Week Fashion Blog Awards, which we have a nomination for!) and ends on October 18th with the St. Louis Fashion Fund Discussion. Below are all the details you need to know about for each event:
September 26th: FABRIC (The St. Louis Fashion Blog Awards (The official St. Louis Fashion Week Kickoff Party; A St. Louis Design Week Event))

This event will feature the St. Louis Fashion Blog Awards followed by a cocktail celebration with the STLFW team including staff, designers, models, hosts, sponsors and partners. The St. Louis fashion community will come out to kick off one of the most important seasons in STLFW history, celebrating the launch of Saint Louis Fashion Fund Emerging Designer Competition presented by Brown Shoe Company, in which one designer will be awarded $15,000.The St. Louis Fashion Blog Awards acknowledge the talented fashion, lifestyle and design bloggers residing in the St. Louis metro area. The community’s top influencers will be honored in categories including photography, content innovation and web design.
October 9th: Neiman Marcus Fashion Chat and Presentation Benefiting COCA

Neiman Marcus will host a panel discussion and fashion presentation featuring accessories designer Lisa Freede, creative director Audrey McLoghlin with Frank & Eileen and fashion designer Jonathan Simkhai.
October 10th: Well Dressed VIP Blogger Lounge (INVITATION ONLY!)

Furthering Saint Louis Fashion Week’s passion for spotlighting a new generation of innovative fashion designers, the mission of the Saint Louis Fashion Fund’s Emerging Designer Award presented by Brown Shoe Company, is to offer a platform for aspiring designers living in the Midwest region and the United States to gain the attention of national press and buyers, and to financially support one designer. The top six designers have been chosen by the Saint Louis Fashion Fund panel, a group of editors, buyers and marketing professionals. The Saint Louis Fashion Fund is a new organization that will play an integral role in the development and growth of the Saint Louis fashion community, and this award will be one of many contributions that the fund will make to the local fashion community. On October 15, 2014, the six finalists will present their collections, and one designer will be selected by our expert judging panel, led by New York Fashion Week creator, Fern Mallis, to receive an award of $15,000. Mallis will join Refinery29’s Editor-In-Chief Christene Barberich, fashion financier Gary Wassner, renowned fashion designer Stan Herman, designer Tess Giberson and Senior Fashion Director for Saks Fifth Avenue Colleen Sherin as jurors, offering finalists priceless connections, advice and exposure, the second their collections hit the runway. Shop our BUTIK Market: Saint Louis Fashion Week attendees will enjoy a carefully curated market featuring over 25 innovative makers. Goods will range from jewelry and apparel to accessories and visual art. This fresh take on the market concept will showcase raw talent from across the country. October 16th: Yigal Azrouel, Tess Giberson, and Timo Weiland Runway Show + St. Rita Parlor Fashion Presentation

The Yigal Azrouël, Tess Giberson, Timo Weiland Runway Shows + Saint Rita Parlor Fashion Presentation will feature top national design talent Yigal Azrouël, Timo Weiland and Tess Giberson among other industry favorites. The show will take place in St. Louis Union Station’s Midway on the longest runway in STLFW history. The event provides St. Louis fashion enthusiasts and professionals with an exclusive opportunity to live the “New York Fashion Experience.” Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception while musing over a fashion presentation, light appetizers and live music, followed by a New York-level runway show. An after-party will take place in St. Louis Union Station’s elegant Grand Hall immediately following the event. The showcase will be the top runway event to occur in St. Louis to date. After-party to follow.
October 16th: St. Louis Week Official Warp Party; A London Calling Event

Join internationally renowned fashion designer and New York DJ Timo Weiland as he shares the stage with DJs TrashTalk, Clockwork and Billy Brown. Host Lux of 105.7 The Point will share the mic with a celebrity blogger as the emcees of the official Saint Louis Fashion Week After-Party. Complimentary food will be available beginning at 8:30PM with a cash bar open to guests until 12:30AM.
October 17th: Designer Trunk Show Pop Up at Saks Fifth Avenue

October 17th: Pathology of Glamour
Time: 5pm-8pm
Location: William Shearburn Gallery
The Saint Louis Fashion Fund presents a showing of fashion portraiture entitled “The Pathology of Glamour.” Ten percent of the sales made during the opening will go toward the Saint Louis Fashion Fund’s initiative to develop a Fashion Incubator housed in the former Garment District.
October 17th: St. Louis Fashion Fund Gala

Entertainment: DJ Nicole Rose
The inaugural Saint Louis Fashion Fund Gala will take place at Union Station, welcoming a variety of fashion supporters, civic leaders and business professionals. Awards will be presented to honorees Derek Blasberg and Karlie Kloss. Proceeds will support STLFF’s goal of creating a fashion incubator in Downtown St. Louis, which will provide emerging fashion designers with valuable resources to launch their careers.
October 18th: St. Louis Fashion Week's Midwest Fashion Conference

For the first time, Saint Louis Fashion Week presents a day devoted to a discussion about fashion across multiple platforms, prompted by questions, considerations and observations by renowned industry leaders, scholars, civic leadership and community advocates.
October 18th: St. Louis Fashion Fund Discussion w/ Fern Mallis

Fern Mallis leads a panel discussion featuring special guests Derek Blasberg (Editor-at-Large, Harper’s Bazaar) and Gary Wassner (Fashion Designer Funding Expert, Hilldun) with more to be announced. This event will open the inaugural Midwest Fashion Conference and 200 seats will be free and available to the public.
