Say Buh-Bye to Falsies!

I know everybody has had this experience at least once, right? You're watching TV or you're even in the mall and you get stopped by someone selling some stuff that they say works like a charm and you buy into the pitch just to get the product home and it's a piece of you know what. It seemed like it was too good to be true and it was, right? I something for y'all and I PROMISE you it works, I have pictures to prove it.

I had the lovely pleasure of meeting Mrs. Brittany Raji, owner of Beauty Impact Accessories at the end of last year and she hipped me to one of her amazing cosmetic products.

It's called 3D Fiber Lashes. When she said the name of it, I instantly thought I would have to lay back in a chair and some lashes would have to be individually applied to my lash line. I was scared. Ha ha! Instead, she whipped out the most beautifully packed pair of what looked like mascara tubes I have ever seen. I know y'all are like "OK, but you still aren't telling me what the heck it is Diamond!" I'm getting to it!

What it is:
The 3D fiber lash system (I'll call it a system) works together to take your lashes from short, thin, and invisible to voluminous, long, and hard not to notice in just minutes with natural green tea fibers! No artificial lashes or glue needed whatsoever.

Understanding the Packaging:
OK! So after you get your life and purchase the product, you'll open the portable case and see 2 tubes. One tube will say "Transplanting Gel" and the other will say "Natural Fiber". Also inside of the case should be instructions on how to use the product. BUT, if you're reading this post, I'm doing to explain the directions to you. Don't throw them away though.

How to Use the System:
(1) For best results, apply a coat of your favorite mascara to your lashes first from root to tip and allow them to dry. (2) Apply the transplanting gel from root to tip over the mascara. This is a VERY
important step because the transplanting gel acts as the adhesive that will attach and hold the fibers to your lashes. After you have applied the transplanting gel, you have to move fast because it dries fast and (3) carefully apply a coat of the fibers on top of the transplanting gel from root to tip and you will instantly see the different.

Here's our Makeup Guru, Aziza's initial reaction to the 3D Fiber Lash system:

The Result:
A set of all natural full, bold, and long lashes! I was super surprised at how long and full my lashes came out. Anybody that knows me on a personal level knows that I barely have any lashes because I love to play with them when I get bored or nervous. It's kinda like biting your nails, except I play with my lashes. *shoulder shrug* ANYWHO! I wouldn't lie to y'all, this stuff is legit and it works.

I started to use it everyday for a minute, but I had to slow down. Ha ha! And for those of you wondering how to remove the product, it comes off when you remove your makeup or wash your face with a warm cloth. Just that easy.

And would you believe that it's only $20?!? Imagine how much money you would save in lashes if you bought this.

Makeup: Too Faced "Melted" Lippie Review

too faced melted
Do you guys know what time it is?  It's LIPPE REVIEW TIME!  We're going to be doing many, MANY of these.  In fashion and beauty, we all know that lips can ultimately be an accessory with different ways to dress up the lip.  In order to do that however, you need to have great product in order to acheive this, hints the reason behind lippie reviews.  We hope to give you honest reviews on the products we love and use everyday, and also on those new lipsticks you have questions on!

Today's lippie review focuses on Too Faced's "Melted" lip creams.  I actually was searching for a new brand of lip products to review, and on Pinterest saw a pin for one.  Maybe 3 days later saw them in Sephora and decided to buy some.  If you're not familiar with Too Faced, they are a cruelty free makeup company who's motto is "Makeup Is Everything", giving that extra special care in creating the products they make, and their lip creams definitely show that!

I bought 7 of their "Melted Liquefied Long Wearing Lipstick" including their "chocolate" line (they actually smell like chocolate, YUM!).  Overall I love everything about these lipsticks, from the packaging to the felt tip applicator, but most of all to the wear of the lipsticks.  When they say they're long wearing, THEY MEAN IT!  I wore one out with the CLC gang to our favorite place, and throughout the night of drinking, eating, laughing, and having fun I only had to re-apply once!  These lippies cost $21, whether online, at Sephora, or ULTA, but I definitely believe they are worth the price.

Below are swatches of each color I scored including:

Jelly Donut

too faced melted
Violet

Velvet

too faced melted
Chocolate Diamonds

Chocolate Cherries

I really love these lippies, something I definitely don't mind paying $21 for because you get all of your coins worth plus some!

Like what you see?  Well that means you need to get you some?  Have a question?  Well then ask, and I'll let you know my honest opinion.  Have another product in mind you would like us to review?  Drop a comment and lets set something up!

Blogger Insight: What REALLY To Do With Your Blog Income

blogging tips
Raise your hand if you still have a 9-5 job?  If you're like me, then your hand should be high to the sky.  Yes I blog, and I feel like a fulltime blogger with the work I put into this site.  But I'm not one of the ones who has quit their job to pursue blogging as their true bread and butter.  As of now, my blog income is not what I rely on, and it isn't my only source of income.  I have a check I get from my job every Friday with the same amount of money for every week of the year (salary based).  That's what I use to pay my bills, plan activities for my daughter, and well...LIVE!

So if you're like me with blog income just dangling over there lonely and what not, what do you do with it?  A lot of people don't know.  However, I've compiled a few suggestions that will not only give purpose to that extra income, but put you in a better position financial wise as well:

SAVE SAVE SAVE!!!

Blog income is the easiest way to save.  For me, I am in the process of starting an emergency fund, and I was able to save within 2 weeks $388 from my blog income,  I simply transfer any money I get blog wise to my savings account (that's not linked to a checking/debit card) and it's there to build up, gain interest, and begin to form the savings I might need in the future.

PAY BILLS

Finding yourself trying to balance all of the bills you have with the money you earn from your 9-5 job? Well why not use your spare blog money and pay on the small bills you have, such as credit cards, insurance, or car note payments.  That way, you either free yourself up from bills all together or can focus on bigger bills you might have.

INVEST BACK

If you're constantly purchasing materials, supplies, or monthly subscriptions for your blog such as business cards, office supplies, etc, simply use your blog money.  It helps keep the expenses you have for your blog and how you pay for those seperate from your living espenses.

PAY FOR TRIPS

Whether business or personal, a few hundred dollars here and there can com in handy when it comes to paying for trips.  A few hundred, depending on where you book can pay for a round trip flight, a stay at a hotel, or spending money for dinners, Ubers, and attractions.

Fashion & Style: Fashionable Resolutions for 2016!

fashionable resolutions 2016

Who told 2016 it could just creep up and come when it did?!  Well I am for one happy that the new year is here.  New year equals new opporuntities to re-invent yourself and your style.  Last year, we did our first attempt of fashionable resolutions for 2015, and honestly saying, most of these resolutions are definitely still relevant for the new year.  Let's take a look:

Don't be pressured into defining your style
This resolution is still at the top of my list.  I think to add to this, definitely don't be a "brand whore" in the sense of thinking if you only wear PINK, Michael Kors, Hermes belts, etc than that makes you "fashionable" because it really doesn't.  If you're going to be a brand whore, be one for a brand you truly like, no matter what the price point is.  If you can connect with the brand on that level, whatever you buy from said store will be considered fashionable.  I am a perfect example of this.  90% of my handbags come from ALDO.  Most of their bags are $60 or less, but I get compliments left, right, up, down, and I even have my mom trying to steal my purses from me.

Never be afraid to experiment with different styles, makeup, etc.
Still a definute yes!  Just like I stated last year, the worse you can do is not like a new blouse, lipstick, or pair of shoes, but the best that can happen is you pull off a new look!  Happened to me this weekend.  It was my first time wearing a green lipstick out in public (was rocking the Kat Von D "Plan D" (review coming soon)) and when I tell you I had a few females give me the sweetest compliments!  So point is, you never know how good you'll rock something until you just do it.

Know your must haves
Once again, always know what YOUR personal must haves/staple pieces are.  To anyone who can muster up the energy to dress up everyday, kudos to you, because I can't.  With work, grad school, this blog, my child, and other activites I participate in, I would literally kill myself trying to look fresh off the runway everyday.  So instead, I have my staples you won't catch me without, such as a bold lip, unique handbag, and of course my one of a kind glasses from Polette.

Capture the moment
Last year it was called "become your own selfie queen", but the idea is ultimately still the same. Capture the moment of your fav outfits so you can see how you evolve throughout the year.  And with apps such as Instagram and Snapchat, it's easy to snap, post, and let others admire your hard work.  Yes, your outfit is hard work!!!
