Fashion & Style: Store Showcase #6 Love Culture

Alright guys here is the store showcase of the week, and it's going to be pretty brief.  The store that I went to is called Love Culture located in the Saint Louis Galleria on the Second floor right next to Claire's.  Honestly they are just like Forever 21, just with a bit more style.  What I don't like about them is one their return policy, no cash back and only 22 days for store credit, and they're sizes do not accomodate us that are on the thicker side.  But I didn manage to buy 2 pieces from them, an oversize cardigan and a nice floral dress, which come to find out it is too freakin' small in the bust area.  My fault I guess for not trying on but I shop like a guy, I'm in and I'm out!  Their prices are fairly the same as Forever 21, between $-$$.  But here's their website and you guys check them out http://www.loveculture.com and let me know what you think, also here are some pics of me in what I actually bought, and always hit me up at:

Fashion & Style: Peplum Peplum and more Peplum!!!!!

Hey guys, sorry I have been UBER busy but I have some great posts for you today.  And to start off we are going to talk about the infamous peplum style.  Some of you may ask what is the definition of peplum?  Well there are two definitions. The first traces back to its early origins are Greek, and it simply was the word for tunic.  The second definition dates back to the 19th century, is a short overskirt that is usually attached to a fitted jacket (http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-peplum.htm).  Essentially the peplum, whether on a skirt, dress, or shirt is meant to accentuate the curves of the body and emphasizes on the waist.  One might ask how does one wear peplum?  What are the different styles of peplum?  Well that's easy, it comes in either shirt, dress, or skirt form.  If wearing a peplum skirt, I would say always go with skinny bottoms or a pencil skirt, such as all back or a solid color is the shirt is decorative, or the other way around if the pants are.  If wearing a peplum dress, depending on the occasion, you can either go bare legged or with decorative hosiery with some cute festive booties.  And the same goes with the peplum skirt.  Maybe try a long sleeve turtle neck, solid color like black or white, and again with some decorative hosiery and ankle booties.  And guys I know some of you have mentioned that you would actually like to see these outfits worn, so I have considered your feedback and took some photos!!!!

Fashion & Style: Store Showcase #4/#5 Marmi and Arden B

Hey guys sorry for the late post. Been busy with school, work, my little diva, and also other events but here is your store showcase of the week. Unfortunately the first showcase is a negative review for the simple fact of poor customer service. The store is called Marmi and I went to the one in the St. Louis Galleria across from the Apple store. I went there actually for a school assignment and we chose that store because it looked appealing on the outside. On the inside it was a cute little store, not so much my taste, more for the older lady, but we still proceeded to take a tour. One of the associates, Doris, was very helpful. She was willing to help and answer any questions and was very friendly. Now here comes my disgust, and her name is MARCY. I don't know who the hell this woman thinks she is but she almost got cussed out and a shoe thrown at her. First off she just came off rude and disrespectful. I was in the processing of asking her a question and she rudely walked away. When she came back out my friend asked if we could ask a couple of questions, she replied "yea after i help a customer", so my friend replied "well are you helping one now?" and she replied "I'm watching her try these shoes on". Like if you didn't want to answer our questions refer us to another sales associate but don't be a smart ass about it. So we finally got the chance to ask her some questions and her knowledge was screwed up because Doris, the other associate had to keep interjecting in order to get the information straight, and she just acted like she didn't want to be bothered. And what was worse was she conducted herself in this manner in front of customers. The number one priority of a business should be customer service, especially with a store that isn't that mainstream and heard of. AND TO MARCY, IF YOU EVER READ THIS, YOU SUCK, AND I HOPE YOU GET FIRED. Yep I said it, so what. If you guys want to check out their website to form your own opinion it is www.shop.marmishoes.com
Well on o a more happier note, I had a wonderful experience at Arden B. in the Galleria. Bought some nice shirts and bottoms, both associates were wonderful, and very friendly, we even joked around a little. I love their clothes, they're trendy and reasonably priced, and they have more of an unique look than most of these clothing stores like Forever 21. I am just happy I had more of a great experience there after experience what happened at Marmi. So probably tomorrow or Wednesday I will showcase the clothes that I bought from Arden B. because the shirt I bought is going to be one of my next blog topics, I just had to do this post to give Arden B its credit and to warn everyone about Marmi. And here is their website so you guys can check out their fab clothing : www.ardenb.com

Again I will be making a new post in the next few days showcasing me actually wearing some garments that I have been talking about for the last couple of weeks, and as always, like, comment, share, and hit me up at :

Fashion & Style: Hula hoop down the runway with Chanel

Hey guys just wanted to make a quick post about something I saw not too long ago. The Chanel hula hoop bag that was featured at Chanel Spring/Summer 2013 catwalk. Now when I saw this I honestly thought it was ridiculous but when I saw the mini I fell in love, the mini looks unique but still holding that classic look, the big one just look like someone thought of it while they were blowing on trees if you know what I mean. The big one isn't I'm production but the mini is set to go for $2400. But I want to know what you guys think. Is this hot or not?!

Fashion & Style: Store Showcase #2/#3 Glam Attic and Pitaya

Hey guys it's time for the store showcase of the week. This week we have two stores that are in the spot light. The first store is Glam Attic located downtown on Washington right by my school, the fabulous Stevens Institute of Business and Arts. It is a nice little resale shop, very affordable, with some nice pieces. I went in on Wednesday to see what kind of clothes they had. On the plus they are way affordable for the simple fact that they are a resale shop. On the bad side, for my beautiful full figured women, they don't really have anything past large, and even what they do have in the large might not be that appealing to the eye, im surprised I found what I did. Also for my big feet women, again they don't really have anythong too appealing past size 8. But overall I enjoyed my experience and I was able to get 3 shirts and a purse for $35!!!.

My second store for tonight is Pitaya located in the Delmar Loop right next to the Bread Co. I love this store, and I always go broke when I go in there. I would compare them to H&M but with more variety of color. They're price range is pretty good, $15-$40 shirts, $30-$75 pants, price ranges of that sort. I forgot to take a pic of everything I bought but I snapped a pic of this sexy purse I bought from there for $72.

Overall I give them two thumbs up. Here are the websites for both stores so you guys can check them out and hopefully decide to go pretty soon; http://www.glamattic.com/, http://www.pitaya.com/. Let me know what you guys think, and if you have any stores/boutiques that you want shout out out hit me up and we can make something happen!!!!!

Fashion & Style: Store Showcase #1 A'gaci

Hey guys so here is my first store show case. Starting every Sunday I am going to showcase at least one store that I feel stands out and that my fellow fashionistas and fashionisters will enjoy. So for today's first showcase I will be talking about A'gaci store. It was first created in 1972 by two brothers and now has expanded to 40 stores across the U.S., but has a big portion of it's traffic online at www.agacistore.com. I love this store I really do. I came across this store one day googling online for "unique urban clothing" and A'gaci popped up. They have nice, unique clothing, very sexy, something that I look for when I shop. A I couple of things about he store though. One, their items sell out very quick so be aware of that when shopping online. I remember I was looking for some new school clothes, dresses in particular that I could wear with stockings and boots and I put it in my bag and saved it for later. Less than a week goes by and the dress was out of stock. Another thing is that go by the "typical size chart" if that's the correct term for it, so unless it says stretch or spandex and small is a SMALL a medium is a MEDIUM and if you are on the verge of large and x-large I would go with be x-large. Again I know this because I have a nice shape on me, and I've gained a little weight post pregnancy so I've learned that from buying from A'gaci I tend to stay on the x-large side when it comes to form fitting garments. Another thing is for me, living in Saint Louis, MO they don't charge tax or shipping fees, they don't have a return fee, and if you need assistant hey have ENGLISH SPEAKING CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS!!!!!!! I know that's a pet peeve for a lot of people. A'gaci actually has they're own corporate office and they answer any questions in a prompt nada professional manner. They get 2 thumbs up for me, the only feedback I would give is to expand their sizes to try and accommodate everyone to gain more customers. So guys if you have a store or a local designer that you want to shout out hit me up and we can definitely give them the recognition they deserve, and as always hit me up at:
