With hit sensations such as Nicki Minaj, over glamourizing the idea of being a "Barbie", some may wonder if people like this actually exist...and they do. Reading Vogue, I came across an article and found that there are real life "Barbie like" humans living in Ukraine. One in particular, Valerie Lukyanova, has been an internet sensation with her Barbie like appearance. She wears blue contact lenses to cover up her green eyes and has had breast implants but claims everything else is natural.
Here's a video of Valerie doing a makeup tutorial on Youtube.
Now there's not just Barbie like humans, we also have Ken like humans as well. Yes, Human Barbie actually has her Human Ken. His name is Justin Jedlica and he has admitted to having nearly 100 surgeries (that cost him nearly $100,000) in order to transform himself into the "Real Life Ken Doll".
In the video below, Justin explains his drive for having the surgeries, and more importantly his drive to modify himself into the perfect person.
And of course, the real life Barbie and Ken have met in person.
But unfortunately there isn't going to be sparks or plastic weddings and a honeymoon at the dream house because both Valerie and Justin had some pretty harsh things to say about each other.
I honestly believe this is ridiculous. Nobody will ever have the perfect body. I understand of making yourself look good, by all means do what you need to do, but at the same time why take it to the extreme. But everyone has their free will I just personally wouldn't do it, hell I wouldn't even do plastic surgery unless it was absolutely necessary. But again this is my opinion. What do you guys think? Are they totally whacko for going to the extreme to transform themselves into two plastic toys? Let me know!
Alright guys so to all of the Fashionistas and Fashionisters out there most of us have a smart phone, which may include some type of iPhone. Besides having the cute little cases and accessories some may wonder is there a way to customize the iPhone, or any phone you have to match your personal style. Well at STL Comp Docs it is possible! I recently went in to get my iPhone screen fixed and decided to go ahead and get the phone color changed (yes the actual phone colored change!). This process only took an hour and for both the color change and screen replacement I paid $90, which is a steal! Below is my beautiful new baby aka my phone!

So I was recently at the nail shop and I was inspired to do this post. My question is what nail style do you prefer from the Square to the Oval, the popular Almond style, the classis Round style, or the Squoval? Me personally I like the Almond and Square style with some type of pastel color, a white, or a hot pink color. I want to know which do you guys prefer? What color choices do you like, and of course send us some pics!!!!!!!!
Protective styling is a great way to minimize hair manipulation. If done properly the results lead to length retention and of course healthier hair. But, you must be aware that just because you are using a protective style you still have to maintain your actual hair whether its exposed or not. What does this mean? Most naturals or transitioning women will choose to wear a sew-in or braids. I personally think this is the best low manipulation style. Sew-ins, depending on if you are getting a partial or full install, can be tricky. We tend to forget that just because our hair is braided that we do not have to do anything additional besides the occasional greasing of the scalp...wrong. This is the biggest mistake weave wearers make which can be quite detrimental for the hair follicle and scalp. Your natural hair isn't getting any fresh air to allow it to breathe, in fact it is being suffocated with build up from oils, creams, and what ever else you may be slathering on that precious piece of Brazilian/Malaysian hair. Our natural hair must be taken care of underneath all of that "false" hair. This means washing with a clarifying shampoo to remove buildup and even deep conditioning the braids to keep from matting. Also, wearing a sew-in for more than two months can lead to serious knots and matting. Your hair definitely needs a period of plain rest meaning just wearing your natural hair out for a couple of weeks. Braids that are too tight will do more harm then good which defeats the purpose of retaining length. Their are other protective styles that do not require weave. My favorite style, which you will most likely catch me rocking almost every day, is the bun. This is an easy alternative to tuck those ends up and away from any harmful exposure and you can never go wrong with it. Next, something I have finally mastered are bantu knots, two strand twist outs, braid outs, and cocoon curls. I almost always will style my hair in one of these ways after my hair has dried from a wash n go. Bantu knots and braid outs look beautiful on hair that has been air dried but still has a kick of kink to it. They will also bring out the true length and texture of ones hair. It seems hard to wear your natural hair but once you find ways of conquering those curls, their really is no limit of what you can do to your hair!
