Rants & Raves: Barbie and Ken Come Alive-Taking Self Modification to the Extreme

With hit sensations such as Nicki Minaj, over glamourizing the idea of being a "Barbie", some may wonder if people like this actually exist...and they do.  Reading Vogue, I came across an article and found that there are real life "Barbie like" humans living in Ukraine.  One in particular, Valerie Lukyanova, has been an internet sensation with her Barbie like appearance.  She wears blue contact lenses to cover up her green eyes and has had breast implants but claims everything else is natural.

Now there's not just Barbie like humans, we also have Ken like humans as well.  Yes, Human Barbie actually has her Human Ken.  His name is Justin Jedlica and he has admitted to having nearly 100 surgeries (that cost him nearly $100,000) in order to transform himself into the "Real Life Ken Doll".

In the video below, Justin explains his drive for having the surgeries, and more importantly his drive to modify himself into the perfect person.

And of course, the real life Barbie and Ken have met in person.

  But unfortunately there isn't going to be sparks or plastic weddings and a honeymoon at the dream house because both Valerie and Justin had some pretty harsh things to say about each other.

I honestly believe this is ridiculous.  Nobody will ever have the perfect body.  I understand of making yourself look good, by all means do what you need to do, but at the same time why take it to the extreme.  But everyone has their free will I just personally wouldn't do it, hell I wouldn't even do plastic surgery unless it was absolutely necessary.  But again this is my opinion.  What do you guys think?  Are they totally whacko for going to the extreme to transform themselves into two plastic toys?  Let me know!
