I'm laughing as I write this because it's something that the girls and I laugh about, being petty that is. Call it what you want, but being petty is a way of life, a way of our lives, and because we partake in these petty sessions way too often, we have not only come up with our own brand "PETTY GANG" but have also created our own drink, PETTY JUICE(all patent pending so don't steal out shit lol).
With that being said, please enjoy our first Tipsy Thursday segment for Petty Juice! It's fun, hilarious, and you'll get a kick out of it while learning how to make our infamous drink! Don't forget, make sure to like and share our video and also subscribe to our channel to catch more Tipsy Thursday segments!
Alright guys, we have a new podcast episode up and live! This week's podcast's explores the world of makeup and the double standard men have for women when it comes to their beauty routine. We even have a special guest this week! So make sure to click below and get a good listen, and also follow us on Soundcloud to listen and download our other episodes!
Hey guys! We're back again for another lippie review, and today we're reviewing these beautiful Kashmir Matte Liquid Lipsticks by KA'OIR. Now you're probably saying to yourself that name sounds quite familiar, and that's because she's the girlfriend of Gucci Mane himself who has not only built a successful makeup line but also has her own clothing and fitness line as well. I've heard of her products in the past but just never got around to looking more into it and last week decided to see what all the hype was about!
PACKAGING
Each of these matte liquid lipsticks comes in a spiral glass tube which is really cool but it's small enough to stick in your purse or even your pocket for on the go access, the packaging was actually one of the features that prompted me to buy these lippies.
PRICE
These lippies are $17.99 which can be compared to many other popular brands such as MAC or DOSE. I will say however it doesn't seem as if there is that much product in the tubing (as stated above the tube is quite compact) and compared to other brands such as Makeup Monsters, they seem to have less product for the same type of liquid for $2 more, but this is something you need to see and decide on for yourself.
The formula of these lippies are quite good, creamy and dries to a matte finish but not drying on the lips in a bad way. They're also long lasting, 48 hour time span to be exact! Depending on how you like your colors, however, these colors are very flat, but again this will depend on the person. I like them because these are my go to colors for when I need something to wear to work or to run a few errands, not too over the top or bright. Again, if you're looking for lippies with a bright and poppin' hue, try Makeup Monsters.

All in all these are great lippies to add to your collection. If you're all about matte lipsticks and liquid lipsticks, then these are your go to's for your needs!
We promised you this review and damn it we're gonna give it! ColorPop is a brand that we have only known due to word of mouth, and a lot of mouths at that, YouTuber's & makeup enthusiasts alike have all either wanted to get their hands on this brand or already have it and can't stop talking about it. ColourPop offers just about everything, including: Eyeshadows, Liquid lipsticks (Ultra Satins & Ultra Mattes), Eye Liner, Brows, Bronzing, & a bunch of other products to drool over.
But let me tell you the best part...It's CHEAP!!!
Yeah, you heard me.
ColourPop is so amazingly reasonable it will make you wonder why the hell you have never bought from them before.
Below are some of the eye shadows that I have purchased and I'm totally in love. These are their Super Shock Shadows with the amazing price of $5 bucks.
Their creamy consistency is the shit of legend, which helps with the fact that they blend like a dream (actually its recommended that you apply them with your fingers for the best color pay out).
Due to their compact nature they are also great for travel, just choose a few colors, pop them in your bag and go. By all means take a trip over to ColourPop Cosmetics and try some for yourself, you will thank me later!
This past weekend was THE SHIT! On top of having an amazing photoshoot (details coming soon), we were invited to one of the most fun parties to hit Downtown STL, and it included our favorite drink....LIQUOR!
Whiskey, Wine, & Moonshine was the name of the game, where we, along with many, many others tasted some of the best whiskies, wines, and moonshine products and voted on who was the best! From Flannerys, to Bobby's Place, and many others in between, it was a fun night for liquor, friends, and Saturday night lights.
I will admit, I am not a big whiskey drinker...it makes me do things I shouldn't do, and I've never heard of moonshine until this week, but when I say these drinks were so good, and had everyone feeling even better, maaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnn!
Don't believe me? Check out the pics here just to see the turn out this event got! Better yet, make sure to like their Facebook page so you can stay up to date on all of their tasting events they have, including their upcoming Derby de Mayo Bar Crawl & Taco & Tequila tasting, and who knows, we may have tickets to give away for those events as well!
Well well well! Here we go again with another racial controversy. Are we becoming too sensitive or are we calling things out for the way they really are, but people don't want to believe it and wish we would just let it go already?
Recently, the Ellen DeGeneres ad for Gap Kids was released and got a lot of backlash for the fact that the image, even though the ad campaign states that girls can do and be whatever they want to be, depicts a White girl leaning and resting her arm on top of the head of a Black girl.
A lot of people deem this a problem because they feel that the Black girl is being belittled down to "just a piece of furniture" to be leaned on. Take a look at the photo as you read below and tell me what you see.
I personally am not offended by what I see, but I can see where people could have a problem with what they see and here's why: The Overall Lack of Diversity
For this to be an ad targeting girls and telling them that they can do anything, you would think that they would be trying to reach out to a more diverse group of girls by including more than just 3 White girls and a Black girl to ad a slight touch of diversity.
The Fact That a White Girl is Standing over a Black girl with her Arm Resting on her Head
This is the MAIN argument here. This is what made Twitter go into a huge uproar. Considering the image that has been casted subliminally when it comes to people that aren't White, especially African American people in this country, they'd think that they would be a little more aware of what they were doing.
A lot of people over social media had a problem with this because it looks as if the picture, though the campaign is for girls being able to be whatever they want to be, depicts the ONLY Black girl in the photo being condensed to an arm on top of her head "holding her down" while a girl is standing over her and the other girls in the photo are freely doing whatever they want.
Pause in the list! Now, while everyone was in an uproar about how subliminally and to some people, obviously racist this ad was, NFL player Matthew Cherry went to Twitter and posted the photo above, but he also share this photo next to it.
This is the 2015 ad from Gap Kids. Notice anything different? Obviously, right? In this photo, you can see that here, there is a Black girl resting her arm on top of the head of a White girl. Hmmm... well... Cherry went on to say "Does the @GapKids pic on the right okay? Let's debate"
Well, when you throw this photo into the mix, let's continue on how yet again, the ad COULD be deemed offensive.
Body Language is Everything
As you can see in the older ad, even though the places have been traded and there's a Black girl on top instead of a White girl, the White girl yet stands there with a whole bunch of confidence and doesn't let someone leaning on her head "hold her down", so to speak. In the recent ad, look at the body language of the girl. It's not a strong pose whatsoever. It's a very timid pose. Her facial expression conveys the look of defeat.
Those are just a few of the reasons people may have found this photo from the ad filled with racist undertones. Some people feel like there are much bigger issues in the country/world to deal with while others are concerned with the overall effect on the psyche of the Black girl in America when it comes to their portrayal in social media and advertising.
I can definitely see where the backlash is coming from because too many times before in advertising, Black or any person of color, for that matter, have been put in compromising positions in commercials and print ads that have done nothing but get published to the world what is thought of us in many stereotypical and demeaning ways. As impressionable as young girls are today with access to the Internet and social media, we don't want those subliminal messages being seeped into the minds of our nieces, cousins, sisters, and daughters. At the same time, once you consider the ad from the year before where the tables are turned, is it really a big deal? Do you think Gap would do that on purpose when they did the opposite thing the year before without incident? I don't know. I can go both ways about it.
Gap (represented by Debbie Felix) has since released a statement to the Daily Mail Online saying:
"As a brand with a proud 46-year history of championing diversity and inclusivity, we appreciate the conversation that has taken place and are sorry to anyone we’ve offended. We are replacing the image with a different shot from the campaign, which encourages girls (and boys) everywhere to be themselves and feel pride in what makes them unique."
With all of this being said... SOUND OFF! What do YOU think of the photo? Even though there were plenty of other photos taken where the young Black girl isn't portrayed the way people think she's being portrayed in the ad, I just wonder why they didn't just use that one to begin with.
So I know a lot of you have heard about these lipsticks, and it seems as though they exploded on the scene merely over night! The Youtube world has reigned these as one of the most coveted liquid lipsticks to date, especially due to that fact that they see out so quickly (I'm a witness to being one of those people who helped sell out Dominatrix in merely a few hours...Sry!) Now the Youtube world may have given them a pass for an amazing product, but were going to give you the "Real Deal Holy-Feild" of reviews on these babies ourselves.
And did I mention that these are 100% Vegan & Cruelty Free. BONUS!! (Side note: Some of these do have a smell)
Now I was able to get my hands on 3 of the most coveted (and sold out) colors he carries, purely by luck if I do say so myself. In total, I have 5 colors to give you the rundown on:
Dominatrix: My ultimate fav by far, I wear this particular shade whenever I get the opportunity. This is considered a true brown, or chocolate if you will. My only wish is that i wanted it to smell like chocolate! So to all my brown girls out there, here's your new nude!!!
Abused: So Purple its almost black! This is a striking color on the most chocolate of skin tones, and gives you all the "edge" that you are looking for. (Side note: looks super awesome with all black, makes the color pop!)
Breakfast At Tiffany's: Now as women we all have a dream of having that perfect brunch at Tiffany's, but instead I choose to wear it. This striking teal-blue is an EYE CATCHER!! Not for the faint of heart, so beware of the stairs you may get when wearing this. (Personally, I enjoy all the looks)
Dirty Money: Welcome to the Army!! I tend to feel like a drill sergeant when I wear this color (combat boots included) This muted green creation is really cool to use for a night on the town. So remember when i said some of the colors may have a smell to them... whelp this is one of them. the only thing i can compare the smell to is a car engine, SERIOUSLY! Now even though it smells like a grease monkey the smell wears off almost immediately when placed on you lips, so then you don't have to walk around with that smell beneath your nose. So if that new engine smell is a deal breaker for you, then maybe this isn't the color for you.
Drug Lord: Hands down the most coveted & sought after color on the market, and rightly so. This opaque masterpiece is something you don't wear lightly. I was so excited to be able to order this color when it was restocked that I didn't even think about that fact that it was white! Alas this is the perfect shade for that ombre obsession that you have been trying to master due to the fact that this particular formula is a bit thinner than most which makes it easier to blend with other colors. (Side Note: This is also a color that has the same smell as Dirty Money, beware.)
Overall, this is one of my favorite brands due to the longevity of the formulas, despite the whole smell situation, they are.
