5 Point Style Guide: It's Ok To Think Like A Man

5 point style guide

Does anyone else randomly buy men's clothes just because you think it'll look cute? Well I do, and in this instance I went with my little brother to Rue 21.  I was bored waiting on him to shop and I start browsing through the men's clearance when I found this bomb t shirt.  It's 3 pictures of a girl with a grill smoking, looked dope, so I bought it for $3.  The next day I wore this shirt and everyone was giving me compliments, I felt like Beyonce...ok not like Beyonce but I felt like the ish, so I decided why not share with you guys in a 5 Point Style Guide.:

The basis of my outfit is the men's graphic tee, very trendy since it's considered street wear.  I like the wear of men's t shirts because it gives your outfit the right "look", it doesn't look too tight but still looks sexy enough ya know?  I usually rock this with black skinny pants that you can get from H&M, Target, Old Navy, etc, and white canvas shoes.  Jewelry wise I kept it very simple yet whimsical.  For example, I've been seeing layering of necklaces a lot.  This reversible pendant necklace by Gorjana and this pineapple statement necklace, also from Rue 21, go perfect together to create a tier effect.  Now to bring another element into the mix, I added my Ely Watch by JORD.  It's wood instead of metal but somehow still flows well with the rest of my jewelry.  I love JORD watches first and foremost because they are one of the only companies to produce fashionable wood watches.  Second, their watches are lightweight!  I have returned many of watches, including a few Michael Kors, because of the weight.  Third, their watches are affordable, for $129 for the Ely, you'll have a watch to last years on end.

Now I don't know why, but I grabbed a blue clutch when I walked out the door with this outfit and it worked by giving the outfit color contrast.  My blue fold over envelope clutch from Pitaya not only is a staple piece but it's functionable as well.  When you open the clutch, there's a zipper inside as well as doubling in size, so you're able to fit more in than a standard size clutch.  Lastly, I've really been into mani's as oppose to acrylic nails, I don't know, just gives me more of a summer time feel, and for any mani OPI is the way to go.  Confession time, last week was my first time using OPI, and when I say I fell in love!!! I applied 1 coat just to see how it worked, and when I tell you that polish dried so fast!!!  And it lasts longer than other nail polishes I've tried, including China Glaze.  You don't have to stick with the red color I chose, you can do white, grey, black, neon, or really any color you want!

I'm headed back to Rue 21 tomorrow to find more shirts to get!  In the meantime let me know how you dress up your boyfriend's shirt you so happening to have in your closet? Comment below!
